Apricot in color, Broo Doo’s nose has dominant orange, pine sap and floral notes, balanced by a glazed nut and toffee malt body. This celebration of the hop harvest has intense tropical fruit, citrus and spicy accents that showcase the complexity of the hops we all love.

This is an aggressive ale. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory–maybe something with a multi-million dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it’s made in a little brewery, or one that implies that their tasteless fizzy yellow beverage will give you more sex appeal. Traditional throughout Latin America, the guayabera shirt combines style, functionality, form and tradition in it’s four-pocketed design. We at Cigar City feel the same reverence and appreciation for the guayabera that we do for the Citra hop varietal, an ingredient that imparts notes of tangerine, lime and berries to this traditional American Pale Ale. The exclusive use of Citra hops in this beer creates a flavor that’s at once unique and recognizable, while it’s dry, crisp character and moderate alcohol make it as refreshing and functional as a crisp linen guayabera.

Maduro is a Northern English-style brown ale with some American affectations. Maduro is higher in alcohol than the common English brown ale and features flaked oats in the malt bill which imparts a silky body and works to mesh the roasted, toasted and chocolate components together in Maduro’s complex malt profile. Al’s Eclipse is our newest Energy Evolution addition. At 6.3%, we opted to make a moderately lower ABV creation packed with incredible flavors any fruit cup lover would love. Loaded with Mosaic, Idaho 7, and a galactic amount of Eclipse, Al’s Eclipse lends flavors of super duper cantaloupe, ripe mango, navel orange, and pineapple chunks in syrup, all laced into a touch of hoppy bite, an incredibly creamy texture , and a bright rainbow melon #EQjuice finish.

Think if Dream Wave Fluctuation and Straight Outta the Laboratory had a baby with no lactose. We ended up taking EQ’s SOTL grain bill, modified an aggressive Other Half hopbill of Galaxy and Citra, and ran it through the SOTL process to bring out the EQ juice. This is how dreams are made. Dream Lab pours a glowing opaque tangerine color releasing aromas of passion fruit, lime, peach, and pineapple all integrated with a bright citrus backdrop. The taste is a bright creamy tropical flavor loaded with a big juicy profile. Its escalating brightness is buoyed by a soft velvety mouth feel making it extremely well balanced and drinkable.

During a lucid dream, the dreamer is awake, conscious of the space and environment around them. It’s almost a doorway into an alternative universe, one that we control. Creating this controllable fantasy began with Dream Wave Fluctuation, increasing the dry hop, blending Citra, Amarillo, Galaxy, and El Dorado, and applying Other Half's Dream treatment. Lucid Dream Wave pours a hazy glowing tangerine color releasing aromas of passion fruit, pineapple, and candied peaches and cream all integrated with a juicy twist. The taste is loaded with EQ juice that blends with a bright creamy tropical wave of flavor with a touch of sweet that is dangerously drinkable and balanced.

Our latest batch of Möbius was conditioned on Brazil Plainifolia Vanilla, which is known for its sweet, fruity, deep, and intense custard flavor. We are getting flavors of roasted coffee, pure chocolate, and dark malts all balanced by a sweet vanilla cream and malted milkshake finish.

We used Particle Physics to manipulate Photon, and turn theoretical physics into reality. We took Photon, upped the ABV to 5.5%, and hopped it at the rate of the fractal series with a citra forward Hop bill. The result is an intensely hopped but low ABV crushable American Pale Ale. It pours a very hazy orange, releasing well-blended notes of dank apricot, tangerine, peach, mango, and pineapple. It tastes of soft juicy tropical fruits and hop resins. This drinking experience is further enhanced with a soft and billowy mouth-feel with a disappearing finish that has made this the new go to pale ale for the Equilibrium crew, especially now that the warm weather is season is upon us.

Some might argue the Emperors were brutal, mad and hungry for power, and the people vain when taking baths and working out all day. EUREKA and MOSAIC hops create a complex cornucopia of stone fruit and berry flavors but also very earthy and dank.

Originally a small-batch release in the spring of 2013. Bloodline is brewed with blood orange peel and blood orange juice and hits the perfect balance between citrus sweetness and bitterness. Bloodline begins with huge grapefruit on the nose. Then, a delicate balance of citrus sweetness and bitterness. Try it with grilled light proteins, salads with fruity vinaigrettes, and fresh salsa.

The first seasonal craft beer release on the east coast, Winter Warmer has been our holiday tradition since 1988 and has since become a New England classic. Combining the subtle sweetness of caramel malt with holiday spice additions of cinnamon and nutmeg, it’s both hardy and satisfying yet surprisingly easy-drinking. Hop aromas blast ouf of this flavor explosion. Massively dry-hopped, with a balanced malt sweetness, this irresistible force showcases the power of bringing in the extra artillery. Hop cubed – then squared (hop to the sixth)! We’ve kept the same malt recipe proportions as Loose Cannon, pumped up to 22 Plato (from 16.5) and then doubled the hops. We employed the late addition-, whirlpool-, hopback-, and dry-hopping process that makes Loose Cannon such a flavorful IPA. We’ve captured the beautiful balance of Loose Cannon but we’ve doubled the firepower.

Our flagship beer, Loose Cannon wins people over at first smell. The carefully cultivated interplay of Simcoe, Palisade, and Centennial creates a most fragrant IPA—its nose bursts with notes of grapefruit, herbs, and pine. Bitterness is somewhat subdued by the floral quality that pervades the taste. The color is burnished gold, and the mouthfeel is creamy. A strong malt backbone balances out the triple-hopped beer. Its nickname, Hop3, comes from the brewing process: our brewers hop Loose Cannon in the boil, the hopback, and the fermenter. It won a second place CAMRA award at the 2010 Great British Beer Festival.

Winter Storm may be Hugh’s favorite beer in the Heavy Seas catalogue. Our winter ale draws on hops from the West Coast and the UK for its pronounced bitterness. A mix of pale and darker malts give it its tawny color and its bigger body. True to the style, Winter Storm’s aroma is nutty malts and earthy hops. This is a perfect fall beer, especially because of its warming qualities.

M-43 is designed to accentuate the deep and complex character from the combination of hops. Aged through four seasons and from a blend of the top Bourbons around, this Ten Fidy has morphed into a monster of cranked up flavor. Espresso, burnt sugar, rich chocolate, caramel notes are now driving alongside the vanilla, oak, bourbon from the barrel and been smoothed out during maturation. Even at 12.9% (75 IBUs) it is cool and drinkable, letting each sip add more and more complexity.

To mark the milestone, Oskar Blues Brewery announces the release of Double Dale’s Imperial IPA, a double-take on the beer that started it all. Two decades ago, Oskar Blues Brewery sent shockwaves through the beer industry when they packed Dale’s Pale Ale into a can. It was then an unheard-of packaging decision, but the reasons were obvious to the OB team: it allowed everyone to easily take craft beer on the trail AND it delivered a fresher beer. Now, Double Dale’s Imperial IPA picks up the torch, the welder, and the hacksaw to turn the industry upside down again, doubling down on hops with a newly formulated, massive IPA worthy of the legendary original craft beer in a can. Double Dale’s is brewed with juicy, tropical El Dorado and complex Talus hops, keeping with the Dale’s tradition of utilizing only American hops. Fruity, piney flavors from the hops mingle with a caramel-driven malt bill, and the whole beast is supported by a new mineral-forward house blend of H2O, which includes six brewing salts. The result is a larger-than-life spin on Dale’s that’s just as packable, drinkable and recyclable as the original.

Old Chub is a Scottish strong ale brewed with hearty amounts of seven different malts, including crystal and chocolate malts, and a smidge of US and UK hops. Old Chub also gets a dash of beechwood-smoked grains imported from Bamburg, Germany, home of the world's greatest smoked beers.

A single hop exploration of Nectaron, a new New Zealand variety, with notes of ripe peach, pineapple, passion fruit and some citrus like grapefruit and orange.

Crickets is brewed with German Pilsner and Vienna malt and this batch is hopped to perfection with New Zeland Wai-iti, which gives it a perfect balance between old and new world. We will continue to release different versions of this Pilsner in the future with different hop varieties.

Our blend of Citra, El Dorado, and Azacca make Autumn IPA the perfect companion as the leaves start to turn.

This version of Boston Lager®, produced until January 2023, was superseded by Boston Lager® Remastered. Samuel Adams Boston Lager® is the best example of the fundamental characteristics of a great beer, offering a full, rich flavor that is both balanced and complex. It is brewed using a decoration mash, a time consuming, traditional four vessel brewing process discarded by many contemporary brewers. This process brings forth a rich sweetness from the malt that makes it well worth the effort. Samuel Adams Boston Lager® also uses only the finest of ingredients including two row barley, as well as German Noble aroma hops. The exclusive use of two row barley not only imparts a full, smooth body but also gives the beer a wide spectrum of malt flavor ranging from slightly sweet to caramel to slightly roasted. The Noble hops varieties, Hallertau Mittelfruh and Tettnang Tettnanger, add a wide range of floral, piney and citrus notes, which are present from the aroma, through the flavor, to the lingering smooth finish. DDH Broken Bridge features a double dose of Mosaic hops. Pouring a dark orange, DDH Broken Bridge showcases intense notes of mango, pineapple, and blueberry with a light sweetness and a balanced bitterness.

This popular edition in our “Street” series of India Pale Ales spotlights the remarkably complex Mosaic hop. Melcher Street is hazy, pale orange in appearance and emits aromatic qualities of grapefruit, mild-earthy pine, and mango on the nose. The Rink at 401 Park is a welcomed wintertime addition to the one-acre lawn in front of Trillium Fenway. Brewed on our 1bbl pilot system located inside our Fenway taproom, Rink pairs two of our most beloved hop varietals in Galaxy and Sabro. Glowing orange in color, with a soft, moderate haze, we're immediately offered a synthesis of tropical notes. Upfront aromas of bright pineapple and ripe papaya transition to candied peach rings and dried apricot as the beer makes its way across the palate. The mouthfeel is what you've come to expect from a Trillium IPA, medium-bodied, plush, and well-rounded. Finishing dry with a gentle piney bitterness, we're excited to share a rink-side pour with you while it lasts.

What better occasion to push the boundaries of our large bird lineup than Thanksgiving?! Inspired by the legendary three bird roast popularized by John Madden throughout Thanksgiving Day NFL broadcasts, Turducken is a saturated hop bomb of a Triple IPA. The can labels sport two different versions of the same Zoom collaboration meeting; one in traditional Trillium hand-drawn fashion by Kevin Cimo at FairFolk and the second a colorized and cartoony take by Andy Godish at Permanent Hangover. Pouring a dense, deep pale yellow with remarkable haze, Turducken's appearance is reminiscent of our hoppiest Double and Triple IPAs. Like its namesake delicacy, the aroma is layered, offering notes of blended citrus zest, punchy white grape juice, pineapple, and a gentle piney bitterness. Full-bodied, mouthcoating, and deftly balanced, Turducken is an indulgent Triple IPA and the perfect complement to your celebratory spread.
